Four days!

This week I've been working
really hard redesigning a
clients bedroom.

I only had one four days to get complete!

It was a blank slate when I started..
Her furniture was all pine.

Its amazing what paint can do to bring back to life!

I found a tall vintage shelf in corner from my
fried Julie at
Past and Presents in Aurora.

Check out her blog!

Thank you Julie for selling it out of your booth!!

I love these lamps! They're from Pottery Barn,
The tops come off so you can fill them with anything!
I chose wicker shades from there and painted them cream to add that
cottage felling!

There is a really cool sitting room off the bedroom..
I took these chairs and had them recovered.
My upholstery guy is very good to me!
He gave me a great deal and got done in 4 days!

I need to still get a round tufted ottoman, but their
only so much you can find in that amount of time..
My client really wanted a vintage wicker lamp.
I new we could find it, but I new it be hard with flea market not
going yet....

Just in luck!

Found this vintage wicker lamp last min in Geneva at

Circa in Geneva IL

I need the right mirror for her dresser. All her furniture is
straight line, no detail..
I new I had to get that right mirror to give that pop in
the bedroom!

It took me three days to find!
I got it at one of my new secret places :)

Only $250 super heavy and all wood....
It's very old.

Gave it a cool finish to help pull the hardware out of the furniture.

Now the bathroom.....

Walking inn it was just walls of mirrors..
I had custom frames made and I attached
them to the mirrors..

The sconces help pull them together!

I normally like adding lots of accessories,
But my client likes things to keep things simple..

Found a cool vintage square tray and added bath accessories.

I was on the hunt for a cabinet for the bathroom.
This was really hard to find!
I turned the corner of my favorite place to shop and it
was like heavens light shinning down on it!

It was perfect! I had to give it a new
paint job and a little love.

I will have more to come...

It was late last night when I got done,
I will have better photos soon of the room
and furniture accessorized.

Wait till you see the chandelier above the
Bathtub I added!

Off to do another consultation!

Have a good weekend!

Mark

  11. I love the illusion the lampshade gives, when i first saw the photo I thought there was a long corridor behind the bed. Is this just in the photo.
